Conventions of the form

I looked at the conventions of children's books to enable me to understand what characteristics they have to them and apply them to my work, which will hopefully make it look more professional.

After choosing space as my theme, I decided to have a think about some ideas and things that I could incorporate into my work.

Photos

As I chose space as my subject matter, I plan to incorporate space crafts, rockets and so on into my work. I decided to go to a scrap yard and take as many photos of old bits of steel/metal/anything I could get my hands on, as this could reflect the way designers do things when they are creating new spacecrafts. Also, the metal/steel would be similar to that on the surface of these rockets etc, which I will be able to draw and it will look more realistic.
